Children have a drive to be independent and do things on their own. This is a healthy part of normal child development. As children grow, they are able to do more and more tasks. Kids use their 5 senses to discover the world and shape their personality. They absorb surrounding, which affects concentration and harmonious development. Surrounding creates children’s reality, affect knowledge and encourage to develop certain skills. And through all of above makes them happy.

In our project we respect stages of children’s interests, develop within the age. We distribute function and materials around the building in logical, natural order. Varity of open and cozy space is a simply invitation for insane fun at one time, as well as calm rest later on. Pin up- and chalk- boards helps kids to express themselves, while being inspired by everyday life objects turns into fairytales environment. For instant there is transformation of ordinary elements into world of imagination: wall into lively meadow with animals, hangers into colorful flowers on children’s height, access into magical tunnel and celling become game of shapes. Kindergarten plays to the role of a guide, gently helping pupils to understand surrounding.

Kids in Chróścice, small village on the south of Poland, will attempt to discover the world. They will gain knowledge about nature, wildlife, ecology, as well as culture. Develop their souls, harts and muscles. They will make first fiends and relationships. Building will help them to feel safe and valuable, and will gain self-reliance and self-confidence.

Kindergarten in Chróścice is an adaptation of a typical Polish education building from the 1970s situated in Silesia. Project is an answer for social situation of reuse old primary schools in countryside.
