Cache atelier designed a bright and inspiring space for the JNGL by Progress Kids Center in Sofia, Bulgaria.

JNGL by Progres is a kids centre, that Cache Atelier created for the children of Progress employees in the Sofia office of the IT company. The centre with a capacity of 50 children is located at 600 square meters in a spacious, 4 meters high space filled with natural light. Architects’ main desire was to keep the feel, intervening measuredly with materials, textures, furniture and decorative elements. They have designed the interior mainly in white, in combination with light wood, and the colour accents are brought by the textiles of the furniture and the large-format graphic elements, designed by Ralitsa Raleva. The jungle theme has been developed in several halls and areas with eloquent names – Safari Adventure, Crocodile Bay, Monkey Island, and Blue Lagoon. There are areas for sports, learning English, games, music and theatre, after-school rest, workshops, library and art classes. The leading jungle theme is developed in a playful and modern way. The space is flexible with a system of folding walls that easily divide or unite it for events and concerts. The greatest achievement in the space is the organic incorporation of interactive elements and games in the interior – as parts of the panelling or decorations in the halls. All the furniture, which is transformed from a stool into a castle and from a karate mat into a party centre, was custom designed. The feeling of lightness and good mood is flowing through the whole space keeping the natural light and big smiles in.
