MSCR (Madison School & Community Recreation) West
Iconica transformed a former retail store into the vibrant Madison School & Community Recreation (MSCR), optimizing layout for community needs with captivating murals reflecting inclusivity and inspiration.
Madison School & Community Recreation (MSCR) tasked Iconica with transforming a former big-box retail store on Madison’s west side into a thriving recreational and educational facility.
Designing for over 80,000 community members served by MSCR, Iconica optimized the layout to create expansive, adaptive rooms custom-tailored to fulfill the community’s diverse needs. The multi-functional spaces include dance studios, art rooms, a pottery studio, and a gymnasium with dedicated pickleball, volleyball, and basketball courts.
Captivating murals grace the facility’s walls and add a touch of creativity and inclusion to the center’s atmosphere. 64 photos of MSCR community members throughout the years were thoughtfully curated in collaboration with MSCR staff. The murals serve as both a source of inspiration and a testament to MSCR’s unwavering commitment to improving the quality of life for Madison residents while also fulfilling Iconica’s dedication to creating spaces that foster community and growth.
