  • Bond Architects completed renovations and additions at Kirkwood High School. A new Welcome Center improves safety by establishing a new main access point with a secure vestibule entry, monitored by an adjacent Administrative Office.

Bond Architects also designed a new storm shelter wing using masonry construction. The wing contains a total of 10 classrooms, with state-of-the-art spaces for electives such as Culinary Arts, Fashion Design and Computer Technology, along with standard classrooms and restrooms.

A connector corridor was added for the North Wing to the South Wing buildings to comply with both the district’s safety standards and accessibility requirements. The new Welcome Center and connector corridor work together to consolidate circulation on the school’s site.

Bond Architects also renovated the spaces that became available due to the additions, including a new nurses suite, 4 new classrooms, an Esports classroom, and a new Middle School Administration Suite.
