Design Collaborative redesigned the Hodson Dining Commons at Taylor University, creating a space that promotes unity, community, and pride through flexible seating, new food stations, and inclusive dining options.

  • Hodson Dining Commons was redesigned to be a hub of unity, community, and friendship for Taylor University students.

Not only did the renovations enhance the aesthetics of the commons, but instilled a sense of pride and belonging among students, professors, and campus employees who utilize this area daily. Flexible seating options can accommodate from 10 to 20 students in a row, fostering an environment of camaraderie and collaboration. The revamp gave rise to new serving stations, including a wood-fired pizza station, and expanded our food options to encompass vegetarian and allergen-free alternatives. This progression towards a more inclusive dining experience reinforces Taylor University’s core values and commitments.
