  • The new Trinity Intermediate Elementary School opened in September 2024 to serve the growing Trinity Area School District. The new building, constructed as an addition to the Middle School, serves grades 4 and 5.

Each of the building’s three levels contain a centralized Innovation Project Classroom to support the STREAM elements of the curriculum. The school’s design integrated classroom adjacent support places for team activities, pullout instruction, and small group learning. Planning for the project sought to strengthen the relationships between individual classrooms and flexible learning spaces.

The heart of the new building includes specialized team learning areas aligned around a vertical atrium. The Media Center, STREAM Laboratory, and Advanced Learning Classrooms open to a second-story outdoor learning patio overlooking the campus. A two-story Blue Box Auditorium serves as a Large Group Instruction (LGI) multi-purpose space for arts and music programming, assemblies, and community events and performances.

The school was designed to be expanded by an additional grade level.
