  • The Veteran’s Resource Center project spanned several years and involved both ASD|SKY’s interior design and environmental graphics groups. The project grew out of a need to provide a home on campus for military affiliated students, staff, and alumni. Tasked with re-purposing a vacant café, our team implemented architectural updates through structural additions and renovations resulting in the creation of five new areas. Exceeding the goals of a collaboration and meeting room, the resource center grew out of a single large space and into a collective of an open workspace, director’s office, two meeting rooms, and a communal space with kitchen.

Extending from the interior environment, tailored signage and graphics were implemented to communicate the resource center goals. Mixing existing placards with new lighted elements, exterior environmental graphics were added to tell the story of the Veteran’s Resource Center within the campus. Our team worked together to convey each design concept three dimensionally through renders to ensure multiple stakeholders and private donors fully understood the design. The success of build out was highlighted by an under-budget and early delivery.
