  • Gelfand Partners Architects designed Greenleaf TK-8 School with flexible learning environments and thoughtful renovations in Oakland, California.

We took on successful modernization and expansion projects with new construction at two Oakland schools in dense and diverse parts of the city. While outdoor space is at a minimum, the focus on these buildings with interior corridors accomplishes the same sustainability goals that we’re able to achieve with suburban schools.

Conversion of an elementary school into a K-8 school. New two-story academic wing, multi-use building and modular kindergarten buildings replace portables, accommodate growth, reduce building footprint, and enhance learning. The learning environment features flexible classroom planning, indoor outdoor connectivity, energy efficiency and sustainable materials.
