  • DRAW Collective created the design for the addition and alterations of Hillview Elementary School in Grove City, Pennsylvania.

The “Grove City 2040” study and subsequent PDE formatted District-Wide Facility Study are being used to execute current projects and plan for the future of their District. A recently completed comprehensive renovation/addition project at Hillview Elementary School allowed the district to consolidate grades K-5 into an updated state of the art facility with focus on a project based, STEAM educational program.

Additions and alterations to Hillview Elementary transformed the building into a state-of-the-art facility for the early learners.

With a focus on project-based learning, STEAM labs are created for the K-1, 2-3 and 4-5 grade levels. This will allow development to progress while the students mature. The design is extremely theme driven and thus allows for every component of the building to be a learning tool.

Exposed ductwork, piping and infrastructure provide a colorful experience throughout the facility. The project was designed using input from the community that was developed through multiple charrette exercises.
