  • Amicus designed a colorful space for the Al-Faisal College Library in Sydney, Australia.

Al-Faisal College approached Amicus with a vision to revamp their existing library, aiming to create a versatile and lively learning space catering to students from Kindergarten to Year 12. The team at Amicus accepted the challenge, providing a comprehensive design and build solution that transformed the school library into a thriving hub for learning.

The project took place within an active school environment, with limited access and a tight schedule. Our approach focused on using natural materials, smart design, and vibrant colour schemes to inspire and uplift students.

We created specific zones within the library, including a “Story Time” area for younger students, separate study rooms with computer banks for older students, and three flexible teaching spaces separated by operable walls.

We upgraded the library system with an automated RFID solution, making book returns secure and convenient at any time, ultimately improving the library’s efficiency. Collaborating with dedicated suppliers, we integrated custom pieces with meticulous attention to detail while smoothly managing the project within the live school setting.

The revitalized school library now offers an inviting space for students of all ages, encouraging exploration and engagement in their learning journey. Thoughtful zoning caters to different needs, from quiet study areas to adaptable teaching spaces, making the library suitable for various events and adding value.

The upgraded library has evolved into a dynamic knowledge hub, fostering a passion for learning among students. The successful transformation is the result of the combined efforts of the skilled Amicus team and partners, positively impacting the school community.
