  • ATDESIGNOFFICE completed the MG Maker Space for innovation and learning in Shenzhen, China.

Integration of teaching courses and space design makes the project unique. Makers are surrounded by wall of 3D printers, innovative tools, colorful component boxes and the works produced by the students.

MG Maker Space provides functions such as work zone, exhibition, conference, equipment room, etc. Due to limited area, flexibility is important in the space planning, and glass partitions are used as much as possible to make the view more transparent.

To encourage makers to communicate, collaborate, and share, various activities, lectures, workshops, etc. can be held in the hall to promote social interaction. The hall has high flexibility and can adapt to different types of projects and activities.

The central orange frame can hang televisions, support teaching, exhibitions, and other functions, and can carry out joint projects, organize competitions, and increase opportunities for interaction and communication among creators.

The equipment area is set along the window with good view and is separated from the hall by a glass folding door, which can be opened when needed, making the space more spacious and convenient for hosting large-scale events. Through the glass folding door, you can see these innovative tools, as well as various interesting materials, creating an atmosphere full of creativity and inspiration.

Environmentally friendly and recycled materials are used to make the furniture to reflect the goals of MG Space. Some furniture is made from 3D printed units and CNC processed boards produced by teachers and students.
