    • The East New York Family Academy is a new 88,000 SF public school building designed to provide a learning home for the community.

    The 5-story school building with capacity of 602 students is divided into (3) distinct programmatic volumes; the 5-story academic volume, communal volume, and natatorium volume.

    The academic volume accommodates learning and administrative spaces in a highly efficient footprint. The communal volume promotes community interaction during and after school hours by providing gymnasium with performance capacity and gathering spaces. The natatorium volume contains renovated swimming pool and is seamlessly connected internally to the communal volume, facilitating use of the ground floor components for after-school, summer programming, and the community use.
