Science Central’s new planetarium is a transformative addition, reinforcing its mission as the premier gateway for informal science education in the region.

Designed to inspire curiosity and exploration, this facility provides immersive experiences in astronomy, space science, and beyond. At the heart of the planetarium is a digital projection system offering stunning, high-resolution visualizations of the cosmos. Complementing this modern technology is a unique antique starball projector. This rare analog device, steeped in history, is carefully preserved on a mechanized lift, ensuring its protection while allowing the space to remain versatile.

The planetarium’s dome stands 21 feet high and spans 28 feet across, creating a theater for up to 50 guests at a time. Visitors embark on educational journeys through the universe, witnessing simulated night skies, planetary movements, and astronomical phenomena with unparalleled clarity.
